Update on Sound / Narrative Design Post-First Playtest (Karina)
Since the playtest, I have been working on changing the footsteps audio to be softer since most of the time the player will be on grass. I have also found and modified all the sound effects needed for this game, or at least everything that we have originally planned. This includes the sound effects of the bugs, pesticide, water, picking up items, and dropping them. I have also found winning and defeat music! A lot of people enjoyed the background music that was heard in the playtest, so I wanted the rest of the audio to flow well with it. I want the audio to fit the art style we originally planned which is low poly. For example, the sound the bugs make when spawning and dying is more of a cute cartoony sound, rather than a realistic sound. I had fun messing around with all the audio by changing the pitch and tempo to fit well with the art style. What I plan on working next is using the audio manager I created and plugin it into the code so it plays when the player interacts with objects!
